Book Review- The Burning Bridge#2 (The Ranger’s Apprentice series)

The_Burning_Bridge

Author- John Flanagan

Description- This fantasy/Adventure series about a Ranger

Review- Going against the evil Lord Morgarath the Rangers gather their allies and Will is chosen along with his friend Horace. On a simple mission as envoys to Celtica they realize that the town is abandoned and that Lord Morgarath seems to be the cause. With no help Will and Horace are the only ones standing in the way of the dark lord and his plans.

My take on it- To me it seemed that Horace and Will are finally settling into their roles and are developed in their skills enough that they feel comfortable venturing on their own. Working together they fight against Lord Morgarath to hinder his evil plan.

Awards-John Flanagan has won the Australian Publishers Association’s Book of the Year for “Older Children and the International Success Award” for Erak’s Ransom

Recommended Grade Level- 6.6 according to Scholastic book
