Homemade Granola!
6 c rolled oats
1/2 c chopped nuts (pecans, almonds, walnuts)
1/4 tsp salt
combine ingredients in a large mixing bowl. In a separate mixing bowls combine following ingredients
2 Tbsp brown sugar
1/3 c honey ( you can use all honey or all syrup)
1/3 c maple syrup
1/4 c Fruit juice (pineapple, orange, apple, etc.)
1/2 tsp almond or vanilla extract
Mix all ingredients together, then pour over oat mixture. Stir to coat. Spray baking sheet and spoon with non stick spray then pour oat mixture in an even layer onto the baking sheet. Bake for 45 min at 300 degrees. Stirring every 15 min. Oats should be nicely toasted and golden brown. Cool on the baking sheet and add in 1/2 cup of dried fruit if desired (raisins, apricots, craisins, cherries).
